Most patients compare it to having a rubber band snapped against the skin. Our lasers have built-in cooling that prevents the surface of the skin from getting too warm. Laser hair removal is more comfortable than waxing.
There is discomfort with this treatment, but we keep each session as short as possible. We use comfort measures to make the process tolerable, and you can use topical lidocaine on smaller tattoos to help.
Hair removal can provide visible results in five to eight sessions. These will be spaced several weeks apart to match your hair’s growth cycle. Tattoo removal requires 5–15 sessions, depending on the size, color and location of the tattoo. We will give you an estimate during your consultation.
Laser hair removal has zero downtime, and you can return to most normal activities right away. Tattoo removal can produce temporary redness and blisters.
Quanta Q-Plus is designed to minimize scarring. It has ultra-short pulse durations to reduce heat damage to the surrounding tissue. It will not resolve any current scars.
